Near Misses Derail Bears in Derby
9/5/2024 11:02:00 PM | Women's Soccer
GREELEY, Colo. – Missed opportunities derailed Northern Colorado in the Front Range Derby at Jackson Stadium Thursday.
The Bears carried the play for most of the night but failed to finish inside the box, with several shots just wide of the post.
After a scoreless first half, Wyoming struck for the first tally on a counter in the 49th minute. They tacked on a second in the 82nd minute.
Head Coach Tim Barrera
Thoughts on the team's performance
I thought we played well. We got caught on a counter in the second half on our free kick. The second came on a well-placed shot on a free kick.
Things to build on
I thought Rachel Mortensen had a really good game and she stood out. Sunnie Yarnell was dangerous going forward and we played well but those two really played well.
Scoring Summary
No. Time Team Goal Scorer Assist
1. 48:26 WYO Alyssa Bedard (2) (unassisted)
2. 81:20 WYO Alyssa Bedard (3) (unassisted)
Inside The Numbers
