Bears Host South Dakota State Monday

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado and Colorado State meet at Jackson Stadium Thursday at 7 p.m., in the final match of the season opening homestand for the Bears.

INSIDE THE SERIES: UNC VS. SDSU

The Bears hold a 2W-3L-3D in the all-time series against the Rams, with seven of the eight games ending in a draw or decided by one goal.
UNC holds a 1W-1L-2D against Colorado State all-time in Greeley.
The teams last met Aug. 12, 2022, a 1-0 setback in Fort Collins.
UNC and the Rams squared off twice in 2021 and playing to a pair of draws.

SCOUTING THE RAMS

SDSU held a 13-12 edge in shots, while Kansas recorded a 6-5 margin in shots on goal.
Each side recorded four saves.
- Stephanie Leckwold started in goal for the Jackrabbits and tallied three saves.
- Emma Knack replaced Leckwold at the half and notched a save.
Laney Murdzek recorded a match-high four shots with two on goal.
- Lauren Eckerle, Avery Murdzek and Mia Bosch accounted for two attempts each.
Hayley Lindaman played a team-high 89 minutes, followed by Katherine Jones (87) and Kaycee Manding (80).
Freshmen Leckwold, Bosch and Hailee Christensen appeared in their first collegiate tilt.

TOOTING HER HORN

Lexi Tuite returns for her sophomore season after leading the Bears in goals, points, shot attempts and shots on goal.
Tuite notched the first hat trick during UNC's NCAA Division I era, which began in 2006.
She tallied six goals and 13 points in her rookie campaign.
Tuite registered the first goal of her collegiate career at Air Force Aug. 27, 2023.
