ATHENS, Ga. – Northern Colorado dropped an 11-1 at Georgia in a seven-inning affair on Friday afternoon at Foley Field.
Sophomore Dylan Smith got the start and threw 4 1/3 innings, scattered seven hits, and allowed seven runs while striking out four batters.
Kai Wagner tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the third inning with a sac fly to right field to score Brandon Sanchez.
Carter Monda finished 1-for-3 and drew a walk, while Sanchez went 1-for-1 and drew one walk.
Jake King, Caden Wagner, Jackson Romero, and Carson Gross each drew a walk.
UNC and UGA meet again on Saturday for a noon doubleheader.
