Northern Colorado Rally Falls Short at Eastern Washington

CHENEY, Wash. – Northern Colorado nearly overcame an 18-point deficit but fell short 68-63 at Eastern Washington Saturday in Big Sky Conference play at Reese Court on Saturday.
Sophomore Aniah Hall came off the bench and scored a game-high 21 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the floor. Hall also went 7-for-7 at the free-throw line and grabbed eight rebounds.
Senior Hannah Simental dropped 16 points and finished 6-for-12 from the field.
Sophomore Gabi Fields added 11 points and finished 5-for-5 at the charity stripe.

- UNC was sluggish in the first quarter and shot 15.38 percent (2-for-13) from the field. However, the Bears found their groove the remainder of the way and shot 45.5 percent in the second quarter, 46.2 percent in the third quarter, and 61.5 percent in the fourth quarter.
