Cole Earns Second All-American Honorable Mention of Career

GREELEY, Colo. – Syd Cole collected her second career All-American Honorable Mention honor, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Wednesday.
"Syd is very deserving of this distinction," head coach Lyndsey Oates said. "This is her second time being named an All-American which is quite an honor. She leaves UNC as one of
the best to ever play in a Bears jersey!"
Cole, who garnered an All-American accolade after the 2022 campaign, joined an elite club, becoming the fifth in program history with at least two in their career. She is the lone Bear to earn All-American in the school's NCAA Division I era, which began in 2004.
As a graduate student, Cole led the Big Sky Conference with 10.22 assists per set and 1,339 total assists, while her 0.3 aces per set placed her ninth in the league. She placed fourth in the country in total assists, 38th in assists per set and 97th in aces per game. Cole collected Big Sky Conference Most Valuable Player, Setter of the Year, First Team hardware and All-Tournament Team.
