Sacramento State and Portland State Visit Bears

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado hosts Sacramento State and Portland State in the final two matches of the homestand, beginning Thursday.
UNC leads the Big Sky Conference at 18-5 overall, including 9-1 in league action. Sacramento State – last season's regular season champions hold the fourth position – with a mark of 14-9, 7-3. Portland State's record of 6-15, 5-5 places the Vikings in sixth, with three weekends left in the regular campaign. The top eight teams qualify for the Big Sky Championship – hosted by Sacramento State – Nov. 27-29.
The Bears and Sacramento State meet for the second time in the regular season Thursday at 6 p.m.
UNC enters with an eight-match winning streak, including five sweeps in succession. The Bears 16-set winning streak began with a come-from-behind victory in the fifth set when the teams last met, Saturday, Oct. 12 in Sacramento. Trailing 14-11, UNC rattled off six of the final seven points to secure the victory and has not lost a game since.
The Bears swept Portland State two nights earlier in Rose City, improving to 23-23 in the all-time series with the Vikings.
