DAVIS, Calif. – Caden Meis scored his team-leading fourth touchdown for Northern Colorado against No. 4 UC Davis at UC Davis Health Field Saturday.

Meis capped off the Bears nine-play, 75-yard drive with a 2-yard plunge at the 7:41 mark of the fourth quarter. He finished with 44 yards on 11 carries and caught two passes for 14 yards.

Johan Chung led the ground attack with 64 yards on five rushes, while Jordan Hornbeak averaged 6.0 yards on eight opportunities.

Chung, who relieved Kia'i Keone in the third quarter of the 59-7 result, completed three of five passing attempts for four yards. Keone went 13 of 42 for 99 yards, with two interceptions.

Charles Garrison hauled in both passes thrown in his direction for 37 yards, while Brayden Munroe tallied 29 yards on three receptions.

Defensively, Franky Morales led the way with nine tackles, including six solo stops. Cam Chapa and Keenan Guthrie recorded six solo tackles each, including a TFL for Guthrie.

Ezra Ekuban inked two tackles, including a TFL and a fumble recovery.
