GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado's junior forward Aniah Hall recorded her first double-double of the season and the third of her career, while freshman guard Neenah George delivered a strong performance as the Bears fought hard but fell 73-66 to Air Force on Monday night at the Bank of Colorado Arena. The Bears showed resilience, moving to 1-2 on the season.

Top Performers
Hall led Northern Colorado with a game-high 17 points and 13 rebounds. Neenah George provided efficient scoring with 10 points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting, contributing on both ends with two rebounds. Gabbi Fields chipped in 10 points, five assists and several clutch plays, while Ella Van Weelden added 10 points, including 2-of-2 from beyond the arc, and grabbed three rebounds.

The Breakdown
The game was tightly contested in the first half, featuring five lead changes and three ties, with Air Force holding a slight edge. Northern Colorado stayed close despite committing 13 turnovers in the first half, thanks to Hall's nine points and six rebounds. At halftime, the Bears trailed by just one point.

In the second half, Northern Colorado continued to push, with several key plays keeping the game close. With 7:57 left in the fourth quarter, Fields scored on a three point play by driving in a layup and draining a free throw, bringing the Bears within one, 53-54. The Falcons responded with a three-pointer to go up 57-54 at 7:36, but UNC countered with a pair of free throws from Hall at 7:18, narrowing the gap to 57-56.

At 4:15, Hall tipped in a second-chance layup, keeping the Bears within two points at 64-62. The Bears fought to stay in it as the clock ticked down, but Air Force went on a decisive run. With 3:23 left, Air Force's Milahnie Perry hit a three-pointer, extending their lead to 68-62. Despite a basket from Hall at 3:04 to bring the score to 68-64, Northern Colorado couldn't overcome Air Force's final push.

Air Force Leaders
Madison Smith led Air Force with 20 points, including efficient shooting from the floor, while Milahnie Perry added 21 points and seven assists. Jayda McNabb also made a strong impact with six rebounds and six assists, helping Air Force capitalize on Northern Colorado's 20 turnovers with 30 points off those opportunities.

Northern Colorado shot 48.1% (25-of-52) from the field and 86.7% (13-of-15) from the free-throw line.
The Bears out-rebounded Air Force 38-29, including 12 offensive boards.
