Tuite Scores for Bears Thursday

GREELEY, Colo. – Lexi Tuite notched her fourth-career goal in her second-career game against Eastern Washington at Jackson Stadium Thursday.
Riley Kaali-Nagy centered from the far side of the six-yard box and Brooke Holmberg backtapped to a crashing Tuite, who buried her shot into the back of the net in the 28th minute and handed UNC the 1-0 advantage.
Sunnie Yarnell paced the Bears with four of the team's 14 shots, while Tuite tallied three and Melina Faris added two.
Mia Norman, Holmberg, Lauren Maggio, Rachel Mortensen and Kaali-Nagy notched one shot each.
Eastern Washington netted the equalizer in the 34th minute and grabbed the lead 10 minutes into the second half.
Both sides registered 14 shots, while Eastern Washington held a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.
Kaya Lindberg tallied five saves, while UNC registered five shots on goal.
