UNC Closes Season with Win over Idaho

GREELEY, Colo. – Morgan King scored and Kaya Lindberg registered a shutout as Northern Colorado closed the season with a 1-0 victory over Idaho (11-5-2, 5-2-1 Big Sky) at Jackson Stadium Sunday.
From just outside the 18-yard box, UNC (4-14-1, 2-5-1 Big Sky) capitalized on a set piece off a foul by the Vandals. Morgan King's shot hit the bottom of the crossbar and fell into the goal just 5:33 into the contest.
The Bears held off an onslaught by Idaho, forcing most of the Vandals 14 shots from outside and Lindberg turned away all six attempts on target. She registered her third clean sheet of the season matching a career-high for a single campaign.
Lexi Tuite led the Bears with three shots, while Brooke Holmberg netted two. Preslie Young joined King with one.
