SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Northern Colorado earned a 1-1 result against Sacramento State at Hornet Field Sunday.

Lexi Tuite put the Bears ahead with her second goal of the season. She put her left boot to the ball and found the upper right corner for a 1-0 advantage at the 7:03 mark.

Sacramento State notched the equalizer in the 23rd minute.

The Bears earned a penalty shot in the 31st minute but a save by the Hornets keeper held the score at 1-1.

Kaya Lindberg stopped six of the seven shots on goal she faced for UNC. Tuite inked three of the team's seven shots, while Brooke Holmberg, Rachel Mortensen, Riley Schneider and Riley Kaali-Nagy recorded one each.
