Defending Big Sky Champion Northern Colorado Releases 2024 Softball Schedule

GREELEY, Colo. – The defending Big Sky champion Northern Colorado Bears revealed its 2024 softball schedule on Friday.
The Bears open the 2024 season on February 8 at the Candrea Classic in Tucson, Arizona. UNC opens the tournament versus Arizona. UNC also closes out the tournament on February 11 versus Arizona. The Bears are scheduled to play Lipscomb (February 9), Utah Tech (February 9), and North Texas (February 11).
UNC then travels to the Lone Star State for the Texas State Tournament in San Marcos, Texas.
The Bears open the tournament on February 16 versus Tulsa and are scheduled to play Texas State (February 16), Sam Houston (February 17), and Texas Tech (February 18).
UNC closes out the month of February at the UC – Santa Barbara Tournament. The Bears open tourney play versus UC–Santa Barbara on February 23 and again on February 24. The Bears are set to play Michigan (February 23 &24), and close out the tournament versus Saint John's (February 25).
The Bears host the Colorado Classic March 1-3 at Gloria Rodriguez Field.
UNC opens play on March 1 versus Manhattan College, followed by a doubleheader versus Iowa State on March 2. The Bears conclude the tournament on March 3 with a doubleheader versus Manhattan.
The Bears then travel to the Cornhusker State for a pair of tournaments.
UNC is set to participate in the Omaha Tournament and begin competition on March 9 versus Valparaiso. The Bears are also scheduled to play UMKC (March 9 & 10), Rider (March 11), and tournament host Omaha (March 11).
The Bears then play at the Big Red Spring Classic.
UNC opens play versus North Dakota on March 14 and again on March 16. The Bears are also scheduled to play Nebraska (March 14 & 17), and Creighton (March 15).
The Bears open Big Sky Conference play on March 29 and March 30 versus Sacramento State at Gloria Rodriguez Field.
UNC travels to Montana (April 6-7) and returns home versus Weber State (April 12-13). The Bears home finale is scheduled for April 19-20 versus Idaho State.
The Bears conclude their Big Sky Conference slate versus Portland State on April 26-27.
UNC concludes the regular season on April 28 at Oregon.
The Bears defend their Big Sky championship May 8-11 in Pocatello, Idaho.
