SETTING THE SCENE

Northern Colorado travels to Denver to face the Pioneers for the 26th time in program history at University of Denver Soccer Stadium on Thursday.
The Bears dropped a 4-0 result in Denver in 2020.
UNC owns a 3-5-1 record on the road against the Pioneers.

LAST TIME OUT

Northern Colorado suffered a 2-1 setback against Air Force at Cadet Stadium Sunday in Colorado Springs.
Lexi Tuite scored the first goal of the season, which was the first goal of her collegiate career.
The Bears tallied 16 shots in the match, including five shots on goal.
Air Force had 20 shots and 10 fouls in the match.
Kaya Lindberg made 10 saves in the match.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS

Julianne Stitch is in her first season as head coach of the Pioneers. She previously served as an assistant coach at the University Chicago.
Denver opened the 2023 campaign with a 0-0-4 record after tying with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
The three other ties the Pioneers have had are with Colorado State, Colorado College and Marquette.

Denver outshot its opponents in the first four contests 61-53, including 29-21 in shots on goal.
The Pioneers also registered more corner kicks through the first four matches than their opponents, 20-18.

Head Coach Tim Barrera named Lucy Roberts and Lindberg captains prior to the start of the season.
Roberts started 10 games and appeared in 43 through her first three seasons in the Bears' uniform.
