NDSU Tops UNC in Summit League Tilt

GREELEY, Colo. – North Dakota State defeated Northern Colorado 18-3 in Summit League action played from Jackson Field on Saturday afternoon.
As a team, UNC produced seven hits.
Leadoff hitter Jack King batted 2-for-4, while Hayden Heinze, Caden Wagner, James Wright, Carson Gross, and Jacob Bannister each picked up a hit. Jackson Meier, Banister, and Heinze each added an RBI.
Trey Cruz started for UNC and absorbed the loss. The lefty tossed two and one-third innings, scattered five hits, allowed six runs (four earned), and walked four with six strikeouts.
Zach Herrick, Jack Tuttle, Andrew Isdale, and Jake Carvajal threw the remainder of the game.
The Bears and Bison conclude their series Sunday at noon for Bark in the Park. All home games at Jackson Field are free and open to the public.
