SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Northern Colorado continues its 11-game road swing with a three-game series at UC-San Diego. Game one, which was originally set for Friday at 7 p.m. has been moved to a 1 p.m. start due to anticipated rain. Game two on Saturday is at 3 p.m. and the series finale is scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. The three games will be broadcast on the ESPN + platform.
Northern Colorado vs. UC-San Diego
This is the first meeting between UNC and UCSD.
Standout Bears
Caden Wagner has been dynamic for the Bears and leads the team with 12 RBI and three home runs. The Parker, Colorado native and Penn State transfer sports a .871 on-base percentage and is slugging .538. Wagner has also tallied 11 singles and one double.
Freshman Dominic Palma is enjoying a great start to his Bear career. The Cave Creek, Arizona native is batting .293 with 12 hits to go with two stolen bases.
Dylan Smith is 1-2 on the season and has logged 15 innings and struck out three batters. Zack Herrick has been a force out of the bullpen and tossed 12 1/3 innings and struck out three batters.
Trey Cruz is the Bears strikeout leader with 15 and pitched 10 1/3 innings.
