UNC Comes Up Short at UCCS in Series Finale

"Tough defeat and played well enough to win and put ourselves in position to win late and didn't get it done today," said UNC head baseball coach Mike Anderson. "Still feel strongly about developing, building, and we learned a lot about this team this team this weekend and will help us in the future."
Kenny Craig batted 2-for-5 with two RBI, while Jackson Romero and Bryce Moore each went 2-for-3, with Moore adding an RBI.
Hayden Heinze and Jake King each collected a hit.
Trey Cruz earned the start and was credited with the no-decision. Cruz tossed three and one third innings, scattered five hits, allowed four runs, and three walks while striking out seven batters.
UP NEXT
The UNC and Colorado School of Mines series set for Tuesday, February 21 has been postponed. The Bears travel to New Mexico for a four-game series in Albuquerque. Game is scheduled for Friday, February 24 at 2 p.m.
