Northern Colorado Impressive in Exhibition Opener

Bears Open Regular Season in Basketball Doubleheader November 6th
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado rolled past Colorado Christian 76-45 Wednesday evening in an exhibition game at Bank of Colorado Arena.
The Bears broke the game open in the second quarter when they outscored the Cougars 19-8 and went into halftime with a commanding 29-14 lead.
UNC shot 41.7 percent (5-for-12) in the second stanza and went a perfect 7-for-7 at the charity stripe.
The Blue & Gold continued its proficient offense in the third quarter and shot 60 percent (9-for-15) from the floor and went 9-for-12 at the free-throw line.
For the game, UNC shot 43.4 percent (23-for-53).

- Gabi Fields came off the bench and scored a game-high 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the floor. Fields handed out a game-high four assists while also totaling a game-high three steals.
- The Bears forced the Cougars into 21 turnovers, which UNC turned into 26 points.

- The Bears dominated in front of the basket with 38 rebounds while collecting 28 points in the paint.
