BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Louise Dahl posted a 5-under-par 67 in the final round of the Clash at Boulder Creek – hosted by Northern Arizona – on the Desert Hawk/Coyote Run Course (par 72/6,334 yards) Tuesday.
"Very fun week for us," UNC director of golf Clayton Sikorski said. "We set a couple of records including a new 54-hole tournament low and the 18-hole score for the second time this year. Louise [Dahl] missed the program's low round by an individual by one shot. It is impressive to see the growth of the team this semester. Excited to get back out in the spring."
Northern Colorado placed 11th among the 19 teams, shooting a 54-hole school record 875 (302-293-280), with the 280 setting the lowest team total for a round in the program's history.
UNC equaled UC Irvine's total for a 10th-place tie, one shot behind UTEP in ninth and three back of San Diego State for eighth. The Bears finished two strokes better than UC Irvine in 12th.
Dahl carded six birdies Tuesday, after shooting a 76 Sunday and a 1-under 71 Monday. She finished in a three-way tie for 20th, with a 2-under 214.
Carolina Fallotico finished tied for 48th, at 221, after shooting a 71 in the final round. She opened with a 77 before recording a 73 Monday.
Timbre Shehee closed the fall with an even-par 72 Tuesday, totaling a 6-over 222 (74-76-72). She finished in a five-way tie for 57th in a field of 103.
Amy Chikoksoong pulled within one stroke of Shehee, posting a 70 on the final circuit. She shot a 79 Sunday, before tallying a 74 Monday.
Marija Jucmane rounded out the scoring for UNC. After shooting 75 in each of the first two rounds, Jucmane netted a 77 Tuesday.
The Bears return to action in the spring.
