Bears set to host Eastern Washington for Gold Rush Game

Opening Tip
• UNC returns home from the Pacific Coast to host Eastern Washington on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 6 p.m. (MT). Thursday's game is UNC's Gold Rush Game, in which the first 250 students will receive a free gold t-shirt.

• Northern Colorado holds a 15-16 record against the Eagles, and the Bears defeated the Eagles in their last meeting, a 68-67 nail-biter on March 10 in the quarterfinals of the 2022 Big Sky Tournament. The two teams split the regular-season series, with both teams winning on the road and losing their home games.
• In the Big Sky Tournament win, Matt Johnson II put up 24 points against the Eagles, including hitting five three pointers.
Last Time Out
The Bears picked up their first Big Sky win of the season at Portland State last Saturday, Jan. 14, knocking off the Vikings 69-67. UNC erased a 14-point deficit in the second half to finish out the comeback win.
Leading the Pack
• Senior guard Dalton Knecht has posted 10 games this season in which he has led the Bears in scoring. Last weekend at Portland State, Knecht 31 points for the Bears, one point shy of his career best, but posted a career high six three-pointers made and a career-high 21 shots attempted.
• Through 18 games this season Knecht leads the Big Sky for scoring, averaging 19.6 points per game.
Career Bests
• Freshman Brock Wisne had a career-best night at Sacramento State (Jan. 12) putting up 12 points, shotting 5-for-11, including hitting one three pointer.
• Fellow freshman Langston Reynolds set career-highs in points (12), minutes played (17), field goals made (5), three-pointers made (2), and steals (1) in the loss to Montana State on Jan. 5.
