Bears Head North to Face Cowboys

UNC football squares off against Wyoming for the first time since 2013
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado football does not have to travel far for their first road game of 2022 just heading over the border to face Wyoming on Saturday. The Bears and Cowboys will kick off at 2 pm at War Memorial Stadium.
The Game
UNC aims for its first win of the year by pulling an upset over FBS Wyoming, while UW wants to make it two straight wins. This is the first time the teams have faced each other since 2013.
About the Cowboys
• Wyoming is coming off a 40-37 two overtime win over Tulsa last week to improve to 1-1 on the year.
• A pair of Cowboys earned Mountain West Player of the Week in quarterback Andrew Peasley and kicker John Hoyland. Peasley passed for 256 yards and two touchdowns completing 66.7% of his passes. Meanwhile, Hoyland made a career-high four field goals and was 4-for-4 on PATs.
• The Cowboys have one of the top punt return units in the nation averaging 19.00 yards per return to rank eighth in the nation.
• Through two games, Wyoming has still not allowed a sack.
• Ryan Marquez is one of 12 players in the FBS to return a punt for a touchdown this season.
• A pair of former Bear coaches are on the Wyoming coaching staff in Marty English (Defensive Ends) and Nick Fulton (Director of Operations).

Northern Colorado is on the road again next week to face Lamar at 5 pm MT
