Texas on tap for UNC Cross Country this Saturday

SAN ANTONIO—Approaching the midway point of the season, the Northern Colorado cross country teams will travel to Texas to compete at the UIW Invitational on Saturday.
Hosted by the University of the Incarnate Word at Live Oak City Park, the men's 8,000-meter race will take place at 8:30 a.m. and the women's 5,000-meter race will take place at 9:05 a.m.
UIW describes the course as flat and fast with only a small number of rolling hills to provide a setting for potential personal records.
The women's team comes into the invitational after placing sixth at the Nebraska Greeno/Dirksen while the men placed 13th. Following their efforts, the UNC women's team earned a top-15 spot in the Mountain Region according to the USTFCCCA rankings released on Sept. 19.
The Bears will have more final tune-up before the Big Sky Championships when they travel to UC Riverside for the Highlander Invite on Oct. 15.
