Northern Colorado Places 29 on Winter Academic All-Big Sky List

FARMINGTON, Utah – Northern Colorado's winter sports not only saw success on the court and track in the Big Sky but did well in the classrooms too. The Big Sky released its Academic All-Conference honorees on Thursday with UNC having 29 representatives.
Women's track and field led the way for Northern Colorado with 12 members followed by eight from women's basketball, five from men's track and field and four from men's basketball.
To be eligible for the honor the student-athlete has to hold a 3.2 cumulative GPA and play in 50% of the team's competitions. For track and field if the student-athlete competed at the Big Sky Indoor Championships they were also eligible.
Of Northern Colorado's 29 honorees 23 had a GPA of 3.5 or above and three had a perfect 4.0.
So far in the 2021-22 season, UNC has seen 109 student-athletes earn Academic All-Conference honors.
