Jack Castiglia got off to a strong individual start this season, winning the Ram Masters Invitational by shooting a 216. He shot 6-over for a four-stroke lead to claim the second victory of his career.
Junior TJ Shehee claimed his first individual win at the Big Texan, shooting 212 for four-under to take first by two strokes.
Northern Colorado golfers received Big Sky Player of the Week Honors five different times throughout the 2021-22 season. Jack Castiglia led with three separate honors followed closely by teammate TJ Shehee with two.
Three UNC golfers earned All-Big Sky honors in 2022. Jack Castiglia landed on First Team while both TJ Shehee and Marcus Tait received Honorable Mention.
Blake Danni led the Bears in the Big Sky Tournament with a tournament low round of 69, 1-under, to tie for fourth place. This was key in allowing the team to move up the leader board for a second-place finish and earned Danni All-Tournament Honors.
The Bears finished their season with an inspired comeback in the third day of the Big Sky Championships to finish in second, only one stroke behind Weber State with a total of 865.
