Women’s Golf Closes Out Red Rocks Invitational

SEDONA, Ariz.- Northern Colorado Women's Golf closed out the final day of the Red Rocks Invitational on Sunday with a 17th place team finish. They ended the tournament with a team total of 931 for an overall score of 67-over.
All five Bears who competed placed within the top 100 of the tournament. However, leading the way for the team was Abbi Fleiner with a T42 finish. She shot a tournament-best of 73 in the third round, earning her a total of 229 for 13-over.
Maria Vallejo came close behind, shooting a total of 15-over for 231 overall, earning her a T54 finish. Jenna Chung (T63), Amy Chitkoksoong (T74), and Camila Velasquez (T100) rounded out the tournament placement for the Bears.
Throughout the three rounds, the Bears accumulated 9 birdies and 47 pars in all.
Northern Colorado now has its sights set on steady improvement as they compete at the Cowgirl Classic hosted by Wyoming on April 4-5 in Maricopa, Arizona at AK-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
