UNC men's basketball faces Portland State in Portland Monday
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado starts a back-to-back against Portland State on Monday night in the City of Roses. The Bears and Vikings tip off at 8:30 pm MT.
Opening Tip
- Northern Colorado held a 10-point lead at the break but fell to Weber State 85-76.
- Bodie Hume moved into the program's top 10 all-time scoring with his 17-point performance. He now sits in ninth place with 1,336 points, one behind former teammate Jonah Radebaugh.
- Daylen Kountz had his third 20-point game in the last four with a team-leading 22 points. He's scored 20-plus 11-times this year.
- Kountz continues to lead the Big Sky in scoring averaging 19.7 points per game.
- Dru Kuxhausen had his fourth 20-point game of the year scoring 20 against Weber State. He made five threes in the game.
- UNC had good ball movement against WSU with 16 assists on 22 makes.

Scouting the Vikings
First year head coach Jase Coburn has had his share of good and bad times as Portland State sits at 5-13 this year and 3-7 in the Big Sky.
Over the past two games, PSU pushed defending Big Sky regular season champion to overtime before falling by two and then picked up a 97-76 win at Northern Arizona.
The Vikings like to turn up the heat on defense averaging 9.1 steals per game. PSU can struggle to score at times with two players averaging double figures scoring in James Jean-Marie (12.9) and Khalid Thomas (10.9).
Around the Big Sky
Weber State ends the weekend in sole possession of first place at 9-1. The Wildcats take on the teams that are tied for second place in Montana and Montana State next week. UM survived late against EWU on Saturday.
