Men’s Golf Welcomes Gage Messingham to Program

GREELEY, Colo.- UNC Men's Golf added an impressive in-state player to their roster with the addition of Gage Messingham. Messingham comes to Northern Colorado from his hometown of Arvada and is bringing plenty of accolades with him.
During his high school career, Messingham was a four-time 5A Colorado Boys Golf state qualifier, two-time first team 5A All-State Boys Golf (2020 and 2021), second team 5A All-State Boys Golf (2018), and honorable mention 5A All-State Boys Golf (2019).
At the junior level, Messingham has eight Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado (JGAC) wins, 10 top five finishes, and nine top 10 finishes. He was also a medalist at the 2019 Hale Irwin American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Qualifier and finished second place at the 2021 Longbow Classic AJGA Qualifier. Also in 2021, Messingham finished in the top five and top seven at the Hale Irwin and Centura Health AJGA tournaments respectively.
Coach Sikorski's Thoughts
"We are very excited to add Gage to the 2022 recruiting class. Gage has tremendous upside and is a great athlete. He has a fantastic golf swing and a great demeanor on the golf course. Gage will fit right in with the team and the guys will push him to reach his potential. I am very happy to keep one of the best juniors in the state of Colorado home for college."
