Women's Golf Sits in Top 10 After First Rounds of the Season

Amy Chitkoksoong leads the Bears to a tie for eighth after day one of the Hobble Creek Fall Classic
SPRINGVILLE, Utah – Northern Colorado women's golf completed their first 36 holes of the 2021-22 season on Monday at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic. The Bears enter tomorrow's final round at Hobble Creek Golf Course in a tie for eighth with host Utah Valley.
UNC shot a 36-over, 604 on Monday seeing an improvement of 10 strokes from the first to the second round.
Junior Amy Chitkoksoong had the best day for the Bears with a pair of 73s. She sits in a tie for 11th at 4-over, just two strokes outside the top 5 and four strokes off the lead. Chitkoksoong recorded five birdies on the day.
Teammate Jenna Chun is also in the top 25, tied for 21st with a 7-over, 149. She shot a 75 in round one and 74 in round two.
The biggest improvements from round one to two came from Abbi Fleiner and Sloane Post. Each shot an 83 during the morning round and followed it with a 74 and 73, respectively in the afternoon.
