Women's Soccer tabbed third in preseason coach's poll

FARMINGTON, Utah – The Big Sky Conference released its preseason soccer coach's poll on Wednesday. With three first-place votes, Northern Colorado (66 pts) was tabbed third.

Northern Arizona (71 pts) grabbed the top spot with Montana (70 pts) close behind in second.

Following its conference record eighth consecutive trip to the Big Sky Tournament last Spring, the Bears will host the 2021 edition. The last time Northern Colorado hosted the championship in 2019, Tim Barrera's crew ran the table and punched its second ticket to the NCAA Tournament.

UNC begins its season with a Colorado Cup match against Colorado State on Saturday, August 14. Though the derby will only be an exhibition, the added tension of the return of the Colorado Cup should take the rivalry up a notch.
