Northern Colorado Soccer locks down 2021 Fall Schedule

GREELEY, Colo. – Following its eighth consecutive appearance in the Big Sky Tournament, Northern Colorado Soccer's 2021 Fall Schedule has been solidified.
"We couldn't be more excited about this year's schedule," said head coach Tim Barrera. "Our non-conference games give us some great in-state competition as well as great matchups against Power Five Schools which should provide excellent experience as we gear up for the Big Sky Conference slate."
This year's calendar features the return of the Colorado Cup, matchups against three Power Five schools in Utah, Missouri and Washington state. Not to mention, the Big Sky Tournament returns to Greeley for the first time since the Bears won the title on home soil in 2019.
Barrera and company welcome the return of the Colorado Cup as the Bears begin the season with three cup ties at Colorado State (Aug. 14), home against Colorado College (Aug. 19) and against Air Force (Aug. 22). UNC took home the cup in 2017 after wins against the Tigers, Falcons and Rams.
Northern Colorado then heads to the Beehive State for matchups against Utah State (Aug. 26) and Utah (Aug. 29) before returning home for one more contest against Centennial State rival Colorado State (Sept. 2).
A quick trip to Omaha (Sept. 5) is followed by back-to-back home contests with Missouri (Sept. 9) and Fullerton (Sept. 12).
UNC rounds out its non-conference schedule with a midweek trek to Wyoming (Sept. 19) and will host the PAC-12's Washington State (Agu. 19).
The Big Sky Conference slate will return to its regularly scheduled programming. Northern Colorado travels to Southern Utah (Sept. 25), Northern Arizona (Sept. 26), Eastern Washington (Oct. 15) and Idaho (Oct. 17). Meanwhile, the UNC faithful can expect to see Portland State (Oct. 1), Sacramento State (Oct. 3), Montana (Oct. 10), Idaho State (Oct. 22) and Weber State (Oct. 24) inside the friendly confines of Jackson Stadium.
Should the Bears secure a spot in the Big Sky Tournament, they'll enjoy home-field advantage just like when UNC won the title in 2019. The tournament is slated for Nov. 3-7, at Jackson Stadium.
