GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Athletics and head volleyball coach Lyndsey Oates have announced Sage Martinson as the Director of Volleyball Operations.
Martinson arrives in Greeley after two seasons as the Graduate Assistant for Regis University in Denver.
"We are very pleased to be adding Sage to our staff," Oates said. "She grew up coming to our camps and I enjoyed watching her play during her high school years at Roosevelt. She comes to us with great experience at Regis as a player and assistant."
Across her two seasons on staff with the Rangers, Martinson helped Regis to an incredible 39-10 record. In 2019, alongside head coach Joel List, Martinson guided Regis to an RMAC regular-season title, a conference tournament title, a top-10 national ranking and a trip to the NCAA Division II semifinals.
Martinson has also worked for Nike at the World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, served as the Athletic Coordinator for Thomspon Rivers Park and Recreation and coached JV Volleyball at Roosevelt High School.
A native of LaSalle, Colorado, Sage played four outstanding seasons with the Rangers. Playing in 125 matches and 455 sets, Martinson's dynamic serving led the team in aces all four years as the team claimed two NCAA Tournament appearances.
