Bears conclude regular season at Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Invitational

MONTGOMERY, Texas – Northern Colorado men's golf concluded its 2021 regular season competing at the Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Invitational at Walden on Lake Conroe Golf Course. The Bears finished in 13th place shooting a 54-over, 918 as a team.
The team's best round of the tournament came in round two when they shot a 12-over 300.
Jack Castiglia led the team shooting a 9-over 225 to finish in a tie for 34th. His best round came in round two when he shot an even-par 72. While he wasn't putting a lot of birdies on his scorecard, he was the most consistent Bear with 32 pars.
TJ Shehee led UNC with 13 birdies on the week. He ended up finishing tied for 58th shooting 17-over, 233.
Logan Hensley joined Castiglia inside the top 40 tying for 39th with an 11-over 227.
Prenzlow's Perspective
This team is having trouble relaxing and competing. We do a ton of good things then give them back with small errors. We need to clean things up in the next week or so before the conference championship. All the guys have played nice rounds lately, we just are having trouble stringing them together.
What's Ahead
It's all eyes on the Big Sky Championship now. The Bears aim to make it three straight titles when they compete at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada April 25-27.
