GREELEY, Colo. – It may have taken a near career night from Alisha Davis but the Bears only cared about the final score after 40 minutes.
Notching its sixth victory in a row, Northern Colorado bested Weber State, 71-66, and locked in the fourth seed for next week's Big Sky Tournament.
In almost a mirror image from Wednesday night, both teams began Friday night hot from the floor. Only three extra-made baskets were the difference after the first quarter.
In the final moments, UNC had multiple players step up in crunch time to deliver big-time buckets. Davis went 7-of-8 from the charity stripe, Jasmine Gayles scored five of her seven points in the fourth quarter, Hannah Simental pulled down clutch rebounds and Alisa Wiggins made contributions on both ends of the floor.
Gayles and Davis nailed the final freebies with just seconds on the clock as the Bears came up with its most important stops of the game, taking away its sixth straight victory of the season.

Alisha Davis made her presence known early, often and all night long against the Wildcats. The Aurora, Colorado native scored 20 first-half points on her way to a 31-point performance, and don't forget her 10 rebounds to grab her 12th double-double of the season.1Q | @20_chapman for 3⃣!!#BearsStrong #BigSkyWBB pic.twitter.com/wbkdFXBRWU

Following a 25-point second quarter, Northern Colorado seemingly had the win locked up. However, Weber State had something left to prove, outscoring the Bears in both the third and fourth quarters, coming as close as one point with six minutes to go.2Q | @alishaaa_5 😤😤#BearsStrong #BigSkyWBB pic.twitter.com/CNbbebTQOO
