Track and Field continue to make marks

UNC track and field had another strong performance at the Air Force Collegiate Open
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Northern Colorado track and field continue to put its name all over the Big Sky performance list after a strong weekend at the Air Force Collegiate Open. The Bears put four more names in the top 10 of the Big Sky performance list and 10 inside the top 20.
Dorian Nesby, Wendira Moss, Thierry N'Seboko and Zion Smith all put their name inside the top 10 for their respective events.
Nesby ran a 7.95 in the 60 meter dash to rank sixth in the Big Sky this season.
For Moss, it was her first time competing in the blue and gold she put herself sixth in the Big Sky in the 200m with a time of 25.81. She also ran the 60m dash in 8.10 to end up 17th on the performance list.
One other Bear now sits sixth on a Big Sky performance list in Zion Smith in the 60 hurdles. She crossed the line in 9.05.
Thierry N'Seboko was the lone men's athlete to crack the top 10 moving into ninth on the list for the long jump. His best leap of the day was 6.61m (21'8.25").
Deondre Ritter had a career day on the track for the men, setting PRs in the 60m and 400m. His time of 7.06 in the 60 and 50.64 in the 400 rank 11th and 12th, respectively in the conference.
Teammate Demario Mootz now sits 13th in the 800m after his run of 1:58.35.
The final two women to crack the top 20 were Craiesha Johnson and Alison Zigler. Johnson is 19th in the 60m with a time of 8.21 and Zigler 16th in the 3000m at 11:45.98.
What's Ahead
It's back to the Air Force Academy this weekend for the Bears to compete in the three-day Championships at the Peak meet February 25-27.
