Northern Colorado men's basketball hosts Northern New Mexico
GREELEY, Colo. – It's Holidays and Hoops inside Bank of Colorado Arena Tuesday night! Enjoy UNC men's basketball as they take on Northern New Mexico at 6 pm and celebrate the holidays as well. Opening Tip
- Northern Colorado became a little shorthanded against Washington State as they fell to the Cougars 82-56.
- Dru Kuxhausen and Kur Jongkuch tied for the team lead with 11 points each against WSU. Jongkuch was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field. Kuxhausen made a team-high three 3-pointers.
- Daylen Kountz enters Tuesday as the Big Sky leader in scoring with 18.8 points per game and ranks 48th in the nation.
- Matt Johnson II led the Bears with two assists on Saturday. He added in nine points and three rebounds.
- Northern Colorado is 4-0 at home this season.
- Bryce Kennedy grabbed a season-high eight rebounds in the loss. He was one shy of his career-high.
- Monday's game marks the conclusion of Northern Colorado's non-conference season in 2021-22.

Scouting the Eagles
Northern New Mexico competes at the NAIA level where they are in the Continental Athletic Conference. The Eagles head coach, Ryan Cordova also serves as the college's Athletic Director.
Northern New Mexico has played 12 games on the year, but all NCAA opponents count as exhibitions for the Eagles.
NNMC has a quartet of players scoring in double figures this season led by Marc Howard Jr and his 14.3 per game
What's Ahead
The Bears are off until 2022. Northern Colorado will ring in the New Year with a showdown in Cedar City against defending Big Sky regular season champion Southern Utah on January 1.
