UNC faces San Jose State on Tuesday

San Jose, Calif. - Northern Colorado closes out the Abe Lemons Classic on Tuesday night when they face San Jose State at 8 pm MT.

Fast Break
- Daylen Kountz recorded his fourth 20-plus point game against California Baptist on Sunday night. He scored 21 points while adding in four rebounds, a block and steal. He is leading UNC averaging 17.3 ppg.
- Dalton Knecht was almost unstoppable from behind the arc on Sunday. He made his first five threes and finished the game with 17 points going 5-of-7 on three-point shots. He also grabbed seven rebounds and had a pair of assists.
- Kur Jongkuch finished two points shy of his career-high scoring while recording his third double-double of the year. He finished the night with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
- Matt Johnson II was dishing the ball around on Sunday. He finished the night with seven assists to lead UNC. The Bears had 15 assists overall.
- Freshman Zach Bloch made his Blue & Gold debut playing four minutes and grabbing a rebound.
- There is a connection between UNC and SJSU's coaching staff. Assistant coach Dorian Green used to play under the Spartan's head coach, Tim Miles at Colordo State. Green went on to be a GA for Miles at Nebraska
- San Jose State is coming off a 79-45 loss to No.8 Texas on Saturday.
- SJSU is on a three-game losing streak.

Scouting the Spartans
San Jose State looks to end a three-game skid on Tuesday night when they host the Bears. Prior to falling to No. 8 Texas the Spartans lost by a combined eight points in the previous two games.

First year head coach Tim Miles inherited a team that is picked to finish 10th in the Mountain West, only ahead of Air Force.

SJSU has a sharp shooter off the bench in Tibet Gorner who is connecting on 52.6% of his threes while averaging 10.5 ppg. Only Omari Moore is scoring more points for San Jose State with 11.3 points.

What's Ahead
Northern Colorado returns to the Centennial State to take on rival Colorado State on Saturday. The Bears and Rams tip-off inside Moby Arena at noon.
