Men's Hoops Opens 2021-22 Home Schedule Hosting Colorado College

UNC Men's Basketball welcomes the Tigers of Colorado College to Greeley
GREELEY, Colo. – The Bank is open! Northern Colorado men's basketball opens its home portion of the 2021-22 schedule Monday Night when they host Colorado College at 6 pm. It will the first time since February, 2020 that UNC will have all fans inside Bank of Colorado Arena following last years COVID-19 restrictions.
Fast Break
- Daylen Kountz is off to a strong start to his senior season. He earned the Rainbow Classic MVP by averaging 21.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks. His scored 20-plus points in all three games and set a career-high with nine rebounds against Hilo.
- Kur Jongkuch extended his streak of games with double figure rebounds to nine after the three games in Hawaii. The senior averaged 11.3 boards and had a pair of double doubles.
- Bodie Hume earned All-Tournament honors at the Rainbow Classic by averaging 12.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks.
- Dru Kuxhausen showed why he's going to be a tough guard all season long with his 21 points including six made threes against Hawaii.
- UNC made 15 three-pointers against the host Rainbow Warriors, the most by the Bears since March 2020.
Scouting the Tigers
Colorado College enters Monday's game on a two-game slide with a 1-2 record overall. Monday's game counts as an exhibition for the Tigers. Jeff Conarroe enters his second season leading the Tigers after being an assistant coach at CSU-Bakersfield for nine seasons.
CC has a trio of scorers in Adrian Price (16.0), Edgar Romero (11.3) and Scott Cunningham (10.0) all averaging double figures early in the season. Romero comes off the bench for the Tigers. Colorado College is allowing opponents to make nine threes a game.
What's Ahead
Northern Colorado has a big road test ahead of them on Wednesday when they travel to No. 5 Texas. The Longhorns and Bears tip-off at 6:30 MT.
