Castiglia, Shehee Named Big Sky Players of the Week

Jake Castiglia and TJ Shehee earned co-Big Sky Player of the Week honors
FARMINGTON, Utah – One Big Sky Player of the Week is nice, but two is twice as nice. Northern Colorado Men's Golf had not one, but two golfers earn the honor this week in Jack Castiglia and TJ Shehee, The duo finished tied for fourth at the Heb Wimberly Intercollegiate helping the team take second place.
For Castiglia, it is his fourth Big Sky Player of the Week honor for his career and second of the year. He rebounded from an opening round 75 with back-to-back rounds in the 60s. He shot 68 in the second round and 69 in the final round. Consistent throughout the tournament he made 37 pars and had one eagle.
Shehee earned his first career Player of the Week honor by sinking 14 birdies. Those 14 birdies tied for the tournament lead. He opened the tournament with a 1-over, 72, but followed it up with consecutive 1-under 70s.
Northern Colorado is now off until the spring when they head to Hawaii for the John Burns Invitational hosted by Hawaii. UNC will compete at Wailua Golf Club in Lihue, Hawaii.
