Northern Colorado football faces its third straight top 15 team this week

The Game
Both Northern Colorado and UC Davis come into Saturday are looking to get back in the win column. The Bears have dropped two straight to top 15 opponents Montana State and Eastern Washington, while UC Davis was upset by Idaho State last week.Â
Numbers to Know
1.8 -Â David Hoage ranks second in the Big Sky and 11th in the FCS with his 1.8 tackles for loss per game
9.7 -Â Jace Bobo's 9.7 tackles per game is the fourth most in the Big Sky and 19th in the FCS

Scouting the Aggies
• UC Davis is coming off its first loss of the year, 27-17 at Idaho State.
• The Aggies picked up an FBS win to open the season beating Tulsa 19-17.Â
• UCD has an opportunistic pass defense with 11 interceptions on the year to tie with Montana State for the lead in the FCS.
• The offensive line takes pride in protecting its QB and that's what UC Davis is doing. They leads the Big Sky and rank 12th nationally allowing 0.83 sacks per game.
• The Aggies are a dangerous team to face in the kick return game. They rank 10th in the FCS with 26.85 yards per return.Â
• A balanced offense, they are led by QB Hunter Rodrigues and RB Ulonzo Gilliam. Rodrigues is averaging 200.8 yards per game and has six passing touchdowns. Gilliam has rushed for 522 yards and four scores in 2021.Â
Around the Big Sky
Three teams remain unbeaten in Big Sky play as week four begins in Eastern Washington, Montana State and Sacramento State. Both Montana State and Sacramento State will be challenged this week. The Bobcats host Weber State on Friday night while Sacramento State travels to Montana for a Saturday afternoon showdown.Â
