UNC stayed in-state for the Ron Moore Invite
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – Northern Colorado Women's Golf saved their best round for last at the Ron Moore Invite. The Bears shot a 12-over, 300 at the University of Denver Golf Course on Sunday. For the tournament, they shot a 65-over, 929.
Senior and Highlands Ranch native Jenna Chun led the Bears for the tournament with an 11-over 227. Her best round came in the first round with a 3-over, 75. She had one birdie on her scorecard Friday with consistent play leading to 13 pars. She followed it up with back to 76s.
The best round of the weekend belonged to Camila Velasquez with her final round 74. Four over down the stretch she made back-to-back birdies and finished with three straight pars to end the tournament.
Amy Chitkoksoong led the Bears with 37 pars over the 54-hole tournament. She shot a 14-over, 230 overall. Her best round came on Saturday with a 4-over. 76.
What's Ahead
Northern Colorado stays in the state for its final fall event of the year at the Coll. Wellenberger Classic at Ptarmigan CC in Fort Collins. The 54-hole tournament is over October 18-19.
