Chitkoksoong Earns Top 25 Finish to Close Out Fall

UNC Women's Golf closed out the fall season at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Northern Colorado Women's Golf closed the fall season competing at the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic on Monday and Tuesday. The Bears just missed out on a top 10 team finish competing at the 54-hole tournament at Ptarmigan Country Club. The Bears shot a 62-over, 926 to finish two strokes outside the top 10.
Amy Chitkoksoong led the Bears finishing tied for 23rd with a 9-over, 225. Her best round of the tournament came in the final one when she shot an even-par 72. It was the best round of the tournament shot by a UNC golfer. Chitkoksoong birdies her last hole of the day to finish the day at even-par. She had three birdies in her final round.
Jenna Chun just missed out on a top 25 finish with an 11-over, 227. She shot the team's best round to start the tournament with a 1-over, 73.
What's Ahead
The Bears head into the winter break until March when they compete in the Red Rocks Invite in Sedona, Arizona March 19-20. Fellow Big Sky member Northern Arizona hosts the tournament at Oak Creek Country Club.
