Alisha Davis picks up Mid-Major and second Big Sky Player of the Week honors

GREELEY, Colo. – Following an undoubtedly dominant performance in Cheney over the weekend, Alisha Davis has been awarded both Big Sky Player of the Week and College Sports Madness Mid-Major Player of the Week.
On Thursday night, Davis poured in a game-high 21 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. With the game on the line, Davis confidently went 9-9 at the charity stripe to put the game on ice.
Two nights later, the Aurora, Colorado, native kept her hot hand, tallying 22 points on 9-12 shooting and another perfect night at the line (4-4).
To date, Davis ranks first in the conference in blocked shots, double-doubles, field goals made, final points, free throw attempts, free throws made, rebounds and rebounds per game.
Nationally, Davis is ninth in double-doubles and 14th in blocked shots.
It's the second time Davis has been awarded conference Player of the Week this season and the first time the sophomore has picked up Mid-Major Player of the Week.
Northern Colorado Women's Basketball is back at home in the Bank of Colorado arena this week for a matchup against Northern Arizona. Tip-off is slated for 6:30 p.m. MT.
