Bears Fall to Bobcats on Senior Night

UNC women's basketball battled, but fell to MSU Friday Night
GREELEY – Northern Colorado women's basketball hosted Big Sky regular season champion Montana State on Friday night falling to the Bobcats 73-63.
It was Senior Night for Bridget Hintz, Abby Kain and Ali Meyer. The trio combined for 12 points and 18 rebounds in their final game at Bank of Colorado Arena.
Three Bears finished the night in double figures as Alisha Davis and Jasmine Gayles tied for the team lead with 15 points each.
UNC went toe to toe with Montana State trailing by two after the first quarter and four at the half.
MSU turned up the pressure on Northern Colorado and went in a 13-3 run to close out the third quarter and start the fourth giving them enough separation.

Montana State's senior-laden team showed their experience in the open court finishing with a 15-3 fast break advantage over UNC.
Game Notes
- Jasmine Gayles went a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. That helped her score a team-leading 15 points.
- Seven different Bears finished the night with an assist as UNC had 13.
- While battling foul trouble Alisha Davis turned in another strong game with 15 points, four rebounds, four blocks, three assists and two steals.
- Ali Meyer led the team with nine rebounds.
What's Ahead
Northern Colorado enters the Big Sky Tournament as the No. 8 seed. They will face 9th-seeded Sacramento State in the first round on Monday, March 9 at 2:30 pm.
