Men's Track and Field Moves up USTFCCCA Rankings

UNC men's track and field moves up to No. 15 in the Mountain Region rankings
GREELEY – Northern Colorado men's track and field turned in a strong performance over the weekend at the Tyson Invitational against some of the top teams in the nation helping them move up the USTFCCCA Mountain Region ranking. The Bears jump up to No. 15 in the rankings moving ahead of fellow Big Sky school Southern Utah and regional rival Wyoming.
The men's 4x400 relay team of Deondre Ritter, Cameron Ross, Kyle Thomas and Antoine Coates ran the second-best time of the year for the Big Sky with a 3:16.56 at the Tyson Invitational. Thomas also moved up the 400m performance list for the conference with his run of 48.60 to move into sixth place.
Heading into the final weekend before the Big Sky Championships, UNC has 11 top 15 marks in the Big Sky and five of those are in the top 10. The men's distance relay team ranks first in the conference for their school record breaking run of 10:11.94 at the Carolina Challenge.
The Bears aim to qualify a few more athletes for the Big Sky Championships when they head to the Air Force Collegiate Open on Friday.
