Bears Host Lumberjacks for Annual Play4Kay Game

Northern Colorado will look to build a win streak at home
Coming off the road win on Monday, Northern Colorado women's basketball looks to keep momentum going at home this weekend.

Opening Tip
Northern Colorado had one of its best games of the season against Portland State, defeating the Vikings, 78-51. UNC never trailed in the game and had their inside-outside game working well. The team had four players in double-figures and outrebounded the Vikings by 18.

Jasmine Gayles posted a career-high 17 points against the Vikings on 6-of-9 shooting, including 5-of-7 from three-point range.

UNC had a season best, 26 assists, against Portland State. Micayla Isenbart set a career-high with 13 to lead the Bears.

The Bears controlled the paint against the Vikings, outscoring them in the pain, 38-16. Bridget Hintz and Ali Meyer both scored in double figures, with 12 and 10 points respectively.
Scouting the Lumberjacks
Northern Arizona sits at second in the Big Sky with a 9-4 conference record and 12-10 overall this season. The Lumberjacks are coming off a 31-point drubbing of Weber State at home. NAU also dropped a close home game to Idaho State, 79-76. Khiarica Rasheed powers the Lumberjack offense with 16.0 points per game is shooting an impressive, 50.4 percent from the floor. Rasheed is also the top rebounder for NAU, averaging 6.8 rebounds per game.

Northern Colorado is 21-6 in program history against Northern Arizona. The Bears have a 11-3 record in Greeley, while being 10-4 in Flagstaff. The two teams met in mid-January, with the Lumberjacks defeating the Bears, 72-45.
