Northern Colorado women's basketball is back at home after going 1-1 in its first conference road trip of the season. UNC will play one game at home before returning to the road in two weeks.

Opening Tip
Northern Colorado defeated Montana on Saturday afternoon, 67-58, to split its first Big Sky road trip. The Bears five starters all scored in double figures, led by Jasmine Gayles 14. UNC's defense was again solid, holding the Griz to 30.5 percent shooting. The Bears built a six-point lead after the first quarter, but would tie with Montana in second quarter, taking the lead into halftime. The Griz cut the lead by one in third quarter, but UNC put the game away in the fourth.

Alexis Chapman leads UNC with 13.2 points per game, posting double-digit scoring in five consecutive games. Chapman is shooting 33.3 percent from the floor and 30.6 percent from three.

UNC leads the Conference with 4.4 blocks per game is second with 53 total team blocks. The Bears finished with five blocks against Montana. Alisa Davis had three blocks against the Grizz ranks second in the Big Sky and 32^nd in the nation with 2.17 blocks per game. The true freshman is second in the conference and 44^th in nation with 26 total blocks.

Against the Griz, UNC recorded a season-high 13 steals. Davis led UNC with a career-high five in the win.

Scouting the Wildcats
Weber State has struggled so far this season, with a 0-3 record in the Big Sky and 2-10 overall. This past week, the Wildcats lost a home to Northern Arizona, 88-82. Weber St. is currently on a three-game losing streak. Liz Graves is the Wildcats leading scorer, with a 13.3 points per game average. Ula Chamberlin follows Graves with a 10.3 points per game average. Kayla Watkins leads the Wildcats in the paint, averaging 6.7 rebounds per game.

History against Weber State
Northern Colorado is 21-13 in program history against the Wildcats. UNC is 12-4 in Greeley, 9-8 in Ogden and 0-1 at neutral sites. The two teams last met in Ogden on March 2, 2019, with the Bears winning, 75-61. Savannah Smith led UNC with 36 points in the win.

On This Date
On January 9th, UNC is 8-3 overall, going 3-2 at home and 0-5 on the road. UNC last played on the 9th in 2016, also against Weber St. The Bears would best the Wildcats 65-53 in Greeley.
