UNC men's basketball starts a two-game homestand hosting Idaho State Thursday

Opening Tip
• After thinking they won the game on a buzzer-beater in regulation, UNC fell to Eastern Washington 89-84 in overtime.
• Jonah Radebaugh finished one assist shy of a triple-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists.
• Kur Jockuch scored a career-high 16 points against EWU.

Last Time Out
Northern Colorado believed they had won the game on a Trent Harris buzzer-beater, but it was waved off on a shot clock violation and the Bears fell in overtime to Eastern Washington 89-84.

Jonah Radebaugh had another outstanding performance missing out on a triple-double by one assist. He had 17 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists.

Scouting the Bengals
Idaho State enters Thursday night looking to snap a four-game losing streak. ISU last won on January 11 against Northern Arizona. First year head coach Ryan Looney has the Bengals at 6-12 overall and 3-6 in the Big Sky.

ISU has been outscored by its opponents 69.3 to 68.3 points per game. A trio of ISU players average 10-plus points. Tarik Cool leads the way with 13.4 ppg followed by Chier Marker (12.7) and Jared Stuzman (10.3).

The Bengals were picked to finish 11th in the Big Sky this year by both the coaches and media.

History Against Idaho State
Prior to being in the Big Sky Conference together, Northern Colorado and Idaho State used to be apart of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference at the same time in the 1960s and 70s. The Bengals hold a 34-24 advantage in the series overall. UNC and ISU are an even 15-15 when playing in Greeley, while the Bears do hold a 3-0 record when playing on a neutral court.

The Bears are 14-8 overall when playing on January 30 and an impressive 10-3 when at home.

Around the Big Sky
As the dust settled on Monday night UNC and Southern Utah now sit in a tie for third place in the Big Sky behind Montana and Eastern Washington.
