UNC Men’s Tennis Falls to Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –The second match of the weekend for the Bears men's tennis team pitted them against their host, the Air Force Academy Falcons. The Bears were unable to take down the Falcons, falling 5-2.
In doubles play, Air Force was able take the point with wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 spots. Thomas Pudney/Julian Kenzlers fell 6-2 and Kyle Pease/Nick Wade fell 6-3. The No. 2 pairing of John Geisberts/Adolfo Arroyo did not get the chance to finish their match.
To start singles play, Air Force was able to gain another point by defeating Kyle Pease 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 1 spot, and followed that with a win over John Geisberts 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 4 spot.
The Bears earned their first point for the day courtesy of Julian Kenzlers in the No. 3 spot, who defeated his opponent 7-6, 6-2. The other point put on the board for the Bears came from Thomas Pudney, who won in the No. 5 position 1-6, 6-3, 10-8.
UNC is back at it tomorrow when they face Colorado College for the last match of the weekend down in Colorado Springs.
