Coates Named Big Sky Men's Track Athlete of the Week

UNC sprinter Antoine Coates was named the Big Sky Men's Track Athlete of the Week
FARMINGTON, Utah – Coming off a strong performance at the University of Colorado Potts Invitational, UNC's Antoine Coates earned the Big Sky Conference's Men's Track Athlete of the Week honor. It is the first of his career.
The senior from Castro Valley, California earned the honor by placing third in the 200m and was on the 4x400 team that took third place. He crossed the line in the 400m with a time of 21.48 and helped the 4x400 finish the relay in 3:21.21.
Alongside Coates, Idaho's Zack Short won the Men's Field Athlete of the Week and Rechelle Meade won the Women's Field Athlete of the Week while Weber State's Emily Morgan-King was the Female Track Athlete of the Week.
UNC heads to the Air Force Academy this upcoming weekend to continue their indoor season.
