Dino Degotardi joins men's golf program

UNC men's golf welcomes Dino Degotardi to 2019 recruiting class
GREELEY – Northern Colorado men's golf added the fourth signee to its 2019 recruiting class with the addition of Dino Degotardi. Degotardi comes to UNC from Noosa, Queensland, Australia.
"We are thrilled to land a player of Dino's caliber to our program at this late date! Dino has a very sound golf swing and has been trained by a highly regarded golf swing coach in Australia," head coach Roger Prenzlow said. "Also, Dino has some good scores and finishes in Australian junior and amateur golf. We look forward to having Dino join the program and help Bear golf compete for another Big Sky Conference championship!"
A tri-sport athlete in Australia, Degotardi played soccer and cricket until 2016 when he decided to put all his focus on his golf game. He earned the Gold Sports Award in golf in both 2017 and 2018. To go along with the awards, Degotardi played for the Sunshine Coast Regional team in 2017 and 2018, winning the regional in 2018.
Degotardi not only has shown excellence on the golf course but in the classroom as well by earning the Maroon Academic Excellence honor in 2018.
He will join fellow freshman Blake Danni, Logan Hensley and TJ Shehee as the newcomers on the Bears' 2019-20 roster. The four freshmen look to help UNC earn its third straight Big Sky Conference title.
