Offense rolls in Bears win over National Taiwan Normal University

UNC women's basketball moved to 2-0 on its Taiwan trip with an 88-81 win
KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan – The Bears used a 12-0 run early in the fourth quarter to improve to 2-0 in the Foguang Cup University Basketball Invitational by defeating the National Taiwan Normal University 88-81.
It was a three point game heading into the fourth quarter before Alexis Chapman hit two of her five made 3-pointers for the night to bookend a 12-0 run that put the Bears up 80-65 by the midway point of the fourth.
Northern Colorado's offense was firing on all cylinders on Wednesday night shooting 51.4% (36-70) from the field and having five players finish in double figures scoring. Chapman led the team with 21 points shooting 8-of-14 from the field. Abby Kain added in 11 points and eight rebounds, while a trio of freshman in Kadie Deaton (14), Kurstyn Harden (12) and Alisha Davis (10) all scored in double figures as well. Deaton filled up the stat sheet adding seven rebounds, six assists and five steals to go with the 14 points scored.
The Bears ended the game with 24 assists on 36 made baskets and dominated the glass with 52 boards, 20 of them coming on the offensive end. Ali Meyer led the team in rebounds with 13.
